Grey Lines II_ In Limbo

Daydreams: head in the clouds,

In limbo:

Between earth and sky

Humanity and the universe

A strange place of mind to linger

As though one floats spirited among the clouds.

In limbo:

Perpetually pensive;

Nanoscopically dissecting each thought

Yearning keenly for highly defined resolutions,

The mere nature of a chemist’s mind

Seeking answers to questions a human mind has created.

In limbo:

Here, I find myself often,

A state that perpetuates the domino effect,

From the simplest of thoughts:

“To sit or to stand?”

To life’s complexities:

“To be or not to be?”

All decisions here seem more complex;

No longer matters of simplicity.

In limbo:

A state that seems awfully too familiar,

The lessons here were just never really learnt,

So I will attempt to rediscover….

The secrets for transit through the grey.

This is part II of a trilogy…

This has been the most difficult state of mind to translate into words. Hopefully someone can relate.
